Mike's first professional mixed martial arts fight was in 1999 against future UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton Jackson. The fight was Jackson's MMA debut as well. Jackson outweighed him by at least 30 pounds in this fight. Mike Pyle lost the fight by judges' decision.  Mike Pyle's fastest submission took just 17 seconds, when he submitted John Cole by guillotine choke at on September 9, 2006. Pyle is the only fighter to ever submit Jon Fitch.
